Something I forgot to mention here, which I think quite important; well, to me at least.

12 June, The Star Papers. Quickly browsing thru the papers and lo! Stumbled into an article with fimiliar art. It's Milx! (Note: A neato artist from Urban Comics, local comic.)

With a career that reads like a comic book script, it’s clear why upcoming Kuching-born comics artist Milx has got the hype-o-meter needle on the rise and his profile will receive a supercool boost next month as he pencils Silver Surfer’s return for Marvel Comics. KALEON RAHAN goes in search of the mysterious Milx.

THE name Silver Surfer is synonymous with names such as Jack “King” Kirby, Stan “The Man” Lee, Galactus, John Buscema, Mephisto and Shalla Bal. Next month, be prepared to add another name to the list and it goes by Milx – Malaysia’s first full-fledged addition to the “House of Ideas”.

Mweee~ Go local artist!

(Note: Do not give me some ass comment that working Marvel/American comics is evil.. I got alot of that already from my friends and by the nine hells, let the guy be happy with his achievements!)

On the contrary, working for them seems pretty freaking classy to me, and a great way to build up recognition and trust in the industry. Get famous then go weird, you'll have a wider reader base :)
