Alright, alright I 'm still alive and kicking.
Work and assignments calls out for me so probably, I won't be sleeping tonight. Good thing tomorrow's a day off.
I'm not sure if the hype is still around but I went to watch Puteri Gunung Ledang, the so-called Malaysian Blockbuster, and what think is:
- Still the typical Malay love story but this time involves key figures in Malay legend/history.
- Good shots and camera work. The movie set is pretty good too.
- The first fight scene is the only good one throughout the movie and I think there's only, what? 3 fight scenes? The last fight between Gusti Putri's brother and Hang Tuah is a little too much to me.
Overall, it's a good movie because of the artistic feeling, good camera work, decent musical piece and good acting to me. Just that the storyline... But hey, not all hope is lost with Malaysian movies. :D
Now to wait for Sky Captain and Resident Evil: Apocalypse.
